Ulster Bank Group has won the Corporate Banking Excellence Award at the inaugural Financial Services Excellence Awards, organised by KPMG.

According to Andrew Blair, Ulster Bank Group’s Head of Business and Corporate Banking, this award is in recognition of continuing commitment from the Ulster Bank Group to its customers.

Mr Blair told The Evening Echo: “This is an endorsement of the world class service our Corporate Banking team offers. Our collaborative and innovative approach to business has won us not only awards but a major international client base.

“We have an unrelenting focus on the relationship with our customers.” he continued. “As part of the Royal Bank of Scotland Group, we deliver a suite of products that cannot be matched in the marketplace. It is for these reasons we have risen to a dominant position in attracting global players to bank with us in Ireland.”

Ulster Bank is one of the largest providers of banking services to the corporate sector, with relationships with 45 of the top 100 companies.

It was the most successful bank in Ireland with inward investment during 2004, winning the majority of new Government-sponsored opportunities.

Ulster Bank Group has 268 branches, more than 1.5 million customers and 5,400 staff.
