ISEQ hovers above 6500 mark
The Dublin stock exchange has recovered from early losses to close up 20.73 at 6544.7.
Building materials group Grafton saw its share price tumble 18c to €9. The group earlier announced that trading for the first six months of the year was in line with market expectations. The building materials and DIY group said Heiton had performed ahead of last year’s levels since it was bought in January.
Rival CRH had a 4c rise in its price to €21.72.
Financials were all in the red with AIB falling 5c to €17.62. Both Anglo Irish and Irish Life and Permanent fell 5c to €10.27 and €14.37 respectively, while Bank of Ireland fell 11c to €13.29.
Business support group DCC gained 40c to €17.40.
