The Chambers of Commerce of Ireland (CCI) today called on all employers to review and revise their health and safety procedures and to fully comply with the new Safety, Health, and Welfare at Work Act 2005, which came into force today.

The Chambers of Commerce of Ireland (CCI) today called on all employers to review and revise their health and safety procedures and to fully comply with the new Safety, Health, and Welfare at Work Act 2005, which came into force today.

Launching a new health and safety training programme, which will assist companies to comply with the new legislation, CCI’s Deputy Chief Executive Conor Brennan said: "This legislation has significantly altered the legal framework for employers in relation to health and safety."
