Co Mayo residents to protest outside Shell HQ in Dublin

Residents from the Rossport area of Co Mayo are due to mount a demonstration outside the headquarters of the Shell oil company in Dublin this afternoon.

The protest was arranged to highlight the residents' concerns about a 9km pipeline the company is building in their area so it can pump gas at high pressure from the Corrib field.
