New postcodes expected to bring more junk mail

The new postcode system will see a greater volume of junk mail being delivered through Irish letterboxes, it has been claimed.

The Irish Direct Marketing Association is dismissing claims that the new system will streamline services.

It says it will bring Ireland into the world of direct marketing and allow the delivery of junk mail to become more focused.
