Farmers urge consumers to boycott cheap Brazilian beef

Irish farmers have called on consumers to boycott Brazilian beef in order to slow down the destruction of the Amazon rainforest.

The deforestation has been partly blamed on a farming boom in the country.

The Irish Cattle and Sheepfarmers Association has accused the World Trade Organisation of complicity by opening up the world to cheap Brazilian beef.
