National Broadband Conference underway in Galway
The National Broadband Conference in Galway heard today that E-net has taken over the first 20 Metropolitan Area Networks (MANs) and will extend to 100 other centres over the next 18 months.
Michael Tiernan, chief executive of e-net said: “Towns with a MAN now have access to state of the art broadband services in a supplier neutral environment which should mean competitive pricing and service from the retailers.”
The conference sees the main players in the telecoms industry gathering to discuss the current level of broadband roll-out and debate the problems and opportunities in the new marketplace.
The event, which is the first such national event of its kind, is being hosted by the Galway Chamber of Commerce, facilitated by e-net.
