Belfast technology firm announces rise in sales

Andor Technology has announced a rise in sales of 47.2% to £7.5m (€10.9m) today.

The firm's debut interim results are in line with forecasts showing record sales and bookings for the six months to March 31, 2005. Sales are up 47.2% over the same period last year and diluted EPS is up 47.8%.

The company has seen strong growth in revenues across all our key market sectors and in all geographic regions.

Their new facilities in Belfast have made a significant improvement in output and have contributed to record production figures achieved in the last quarter.

Commenting on the interim results, Dr Hugh Cormican, Andor’s managing director said: "Andor has seen strong growth in revenues across all our key market sectors and in all geographic regions.

"We are pleased that recorded bookings and production were achieved in our last quarter mainly from our existing product line.

"We feel that the enhancement of our product offerings with new products such as the Newton and iDus over the next 6 months will further continue the impetus the company has built up over the years."
