"We very much welcome the opportunity to get involved in the local community and it is a particular honour to sponsor a first division team in our home town. We look forward to working with them throughout the season.”
Nick Leeson the recently appointed Commercial Manager of Galway United Football Club and the man most closely associated with Barings Bank said: “I was hoping for an early success and am delighted to have sealed this deal with Aer Arann, an indigenous Galway Company. Like Aer Arann we are ambitious to succeed on a European scale so this sponsorship is an excellent fit for both of us. With Aer Arann on the shirts now the team should be flying.”
John Fallon, Chairman of the Club said: “People in Galway have great admiration for the entrepreneurial spirit which has made Aer Arann the success it is today. Aer Arann is a role model for Galway United as the club embarks on a five year plan that aims to take it into European Football. We are delighted to have Aer Arann as a sponsor.”
