Water charges levied on Irish businesses vary significantly in different parts of the country, according to a survey conducted by the Chambers of Commerce of Ireland.

Water charges levied on Irish businesses vary significantly in different parts of the country, according to a survey conducted by the Chambers of Commerce of Ireland.

The organisation said that charges in some parts of the country were four times higher than in other areas, with a business employing 249 people expected to pay €147,000 in Galway city, compared to €35,000 in Tipperary South.
