Smyth retires from Viridian board

All-island energy group Viridian has announced that Desmond Smyth is to retire as non-executive director.

All-island energy group Viridian has announced that Desmond Smyth is to retire as non-executive director.

Smyth has been on the board at Viridian since 1996.

Viridian chairman Philip Rogerson said: “I would like to thank Desmond for the outstanding contribution he has made to Viridian and for the nine years' service he has given.”

Duncan Lewis will succeed Smyth as senior independent director with effect from March 1.

Viridian’s shares opened at €10.84 on the ISEQ this morning.
