Search for MediaLab replacement begins

A consultation process has been announced to establish a new research entity at the former MediaLab Europe site in Dublin.

The Digital Hub has been left without its anchor tenant since the joint project between the State and Massachusetts Institute of Technology fell through due to lack of funding.

The Government is to decide on the new set-up and who will manage it at the end of the month.

MediaLab Europe was established five years ago to carry out research in the field of digital media.
