Software group salute success
Seabrook Research, the Cork manufacturing software consultancy company, celebrated its 15 years in business with the opening of a new technology centre.
The centre of excellence, based on the Model Farm Road in Cork City, was officially opened by Minister for Finance Brian Cowen.
This development is geared towards the expansion of the three main companies in the Seabrook Group — Seabrook Research, Enterprise Quality Specialists and Seabrook Payroll Systems.
Software development, customer support and sales are some of the key functions to be carried out there.
Mr Cowen said: “Seabrook is a widely respected company and well regarded as experts in the provision of manufacturing software solutions, serving both multi-national and indigenous companies in Ireland.”
Mr Cowen, congratulating the company which employs 20 staff, said it is a testament to the expertise and skill that Seabrook has built up over the last 15 years in the technology sector.
“Their services further enhance Ireland’s reputation as a great place to do business,” he said.
At the opening ceremony, the company also announced the expansion of its subsidiary company, EQS Limited, into the UK market, through their association with Camstar Systems, Inc, a leading US-based provider of manufacturing execution and quality management systems.
Sean O’Sullivan, managing director of Seabrook, said: “It is a very proud day for Seabrook. With our custom-built Seabrook Technology Centre, we believe that we can create greater synergies of expertise for our customers.”
Company policy is focussed on the long term, supporting customers and working with them continuously to improve their profit margin.
“Our expansion into the UK market with Camstar has generated a very positive response and we are looking forward to further growth in 2005.”
