VW introduce 'clean-burning' diesel cars

Volkswagen brought a vision of clean-burning diesel cars to the Los Angeles Auto Show yesterday, saying the technology is a better alternative to hybrids or fuel cell cars in the short run.

Bernd Pischetsrieder, chairman of the German automaker, touted new diesel technology as cleaner and more efficient in his keynote speech at the show.
