CHEVROLET’S part electric-powered Volt was named North American Car of the Year today.

Volkswagen brought a vision of clean-burning diesel cars to the Los Angeles Auto Show yesterday, saying the technology is a better alternative to hybrids or fuel cell cars in the short run.
