Bank survey: Consumer confidence high
Consumer confidence is high heading into 2005, according to a survey conducted by Irish Life and Permanent TSB.
The number of respondents who said they expected to be better off this year was higher than the number who expected to be worse off, according to the survey.
Two-thirds of respondents also said they wanted the Government to introduce a new savings scheme when SSIAs mature, while 41% said they would invest their SSIA money in a pension scheme if the Government introduced a special tax incentive.
