Whether Ireland can become a major player in the gaming industry will be the main topic under discussion at the latest Talk Digital event, which takes place in The Digital Hub next Thursday.

Talk Digital brings together experts from the digital media and research sectors to discuss the latest issues and topics around the area of gaming in Ireland.

Panelists at the "Gaming - Time to Play" talk will include Dr Aphra Kerr, Centre for Media Research, University of Ulster, Coleraine; Peter Mee of the Irish Chapter of the International Games Developers Association, and Paul Hayes, marketing consultant in the games industry.

Talk Digital takes place on Thursday, December 9 in the Diageo Liberties Learning Studio at The Digital Hub, on Thomas Street in Dublin from 6.30pm to 8pm. Talk Digital is open to the public and is free.
