The future travel hopes of the UK’s leading holiday company are being buoyed by Brazil, it was revealed today.

For the first time, Thomson Holidays is organising trips to Brazil, with the South American country featuring in winter 2005-06 brochures.

And Thomson is predicting that Brazil will top the list of successful new destinations worldwide next year.

The forecast came as the Association of British Travel Agents (Abta) held its annual convention in Orlando, Florida.

Thomson’s top 10 destinations tipped for success next year are:

1. Brazil

2. Egypt

3. Morocco

4. Croatia

5. Thailand

6. Sardinia

7. Oman

8. Bratislava

9. Serbia

10. Paris
