Man, 20s, in critical condition following assault in Kerry

A man is in critical condition following an assault in Kerry on Thursday evening. 

The incident happened in The Square in Listowel between 8.15pm and 9.15pm. 

The man, in his 20s, was transferred to Cork University Hospital, where he remains in critical condition. 

Gardaí at Listowel are appealing for witnesses to the incident, particularly those who were in the vicinity of The Square between 8.15pm and 9.15pm on Thursday, September 24.

Gardaí are especially keen to speak with anyone who may have dashcam or phone camera footage and to contact them at Listowel Garda Station on 068 50820.
