Ryanair celebrate BA victory

Ryanair today celebrated carrying nearly half a million more passengers than BA in Europe during October.

Passenger traffic statistics released by Ryanair and BA confirmed Ryanair carried 2,462 million passengers in October 2004, 443,000 more than BA in Europe.

Ryanair’s Head of Communications Paul Fitzsimmons said: “Since May BA has added not one, not two but three fuel surcharges to their already ludicrously expensive fares and the public are voting with their feet.”

Ryanair was up 3c on the ISEQ mid-morning, at €5.08.
