P&O's ferry business continues to drift

Shipping group P&O today said the fortunes of its troubled ferry business continued to drift as it reported flat passenger growth in the key third quarter.

P&O, which is overhauling its ferry arm, said its peak season tourist vehicle and passenger carryings were similar to the previous year in a weak overall market, although freight volumes grew strongly.
