Argos sales up 13%

Catalogue retailing group GUS said today its Argos chain outperformed its market in the first half as it reported a strong showing across its businesses despite some difficult markets.

Catalogue retailing group GUS said today its Argos chain outperformed its market in the first half as it reported a strong showing across its businesses despite some difficult markets.

GUS said Argos lifted sales by 13% on the back of new store openings and a particularly good performance from consumer electronics, photography, white goods and leisure products.
