Catalogue retailing group GUS said today its Argos chain outperformed its market in the first half as it reported a strong showing across its businesses despite some difficult markets.

Credit checking-to-catalogue retailing group GUS today said its credit-monitoring arm Experian had paid £106m (€153.9m) for a company that provides address management software.
