Dublin Airport Authority ends Supreme Court action
The Dublin Airport Authority (DAA) has withdrawn its Supreme Court appeal on the issue of airport charges.
The company has dropped the challenge to a High Court ruling that upheld the Commission for Avation Regulation's approach to setting airport charges.
The decision comes in the light of the new State Airports Act, which governed the break-up of Aer Rianta, and according to the DAA comprehensively addresses the issue of determining maximum airport charges.
The DAA says it welcomes the requirement on the Commission for Aviation Regulation to issue a new determination on charges at Dublin Airport by October of next year.
