ComReg proposes action on broadband competition

Eircom is dominant in the broadband market and regulatory intervention is required to address the competition problem in the broadband market, ComReg said today.

The new regulatory framework obliges ComReg to impose obligations on the operator with Significant Market Power (SMP), which is found to be eircom.
