The Bank of Ireland has agreed to refund more than €1.8m to customers who were charged fees against the orders of the Director of Consumer Affairs.

The Bank of Ireland has agreed to refund more than €1.8m to customers who were charged fees against the orders of the Director of Consumer Affairs.

Reports today said the bank had decided to refund the money to its Business On-Line and American Express Blue Credit Card customers after receiving legal advice on the matter.
