The Irish Brokers Association has welcomed the report on insurance reform by the oint Oireachtas Committee on Enterprise and Small Business.

The Irish Brokers Association (IBA) - whose members are responsible for over 80% of general insurance placed through brokers in Ireland has welcomed the report on insurance reform by the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Enterprise and Small Business.

Paul Lynch, chief executive of the IBA, said; "In particular we welcome the report's finding that brokers are an important force for competition and the acknowledgement of the role of brokers in facilitating the entry to the Irish market of insurers registered outside the State."
