Inflation in Germany slowed in June after a spike fired by oil prices pushed it to a two-and-a-half-year high in May.

Inflation in Germany slowed in June after a spike fired by oil prices pushed it to a two-and-a-half-year high in May.

According to final June inflation data published by the federal statistics office, Destatis, the annual rate of inflation was 1.7%, compared with 2% in May.
