Electric car deal for British firm
An Indian company that has launched the country’s first electric car has received 500 orders from Britain and plans to build environment-friendly minibuses and small taxis.
Reva Electric Car firm will export 500 electric cars to Britain’s Going Green company, managing director Chetan Maini told Press Trust of India in New Delhi.
The car, which seats two adults in the front and two children at the back, is also being test marketed in Switzerland, Japan, Nepal, Hong Kong and the United States.
Reva hopes to sell 50,000 vehicles per year in five years, Maini said.
