ComReg wants clearer directory pricing
The communications regulator ComReg is planning to force directory enquiries firms to inform customers clearly about the cost of using their services.
Reports today said calls to eircom’s directory enquiry service cost 66c each, but this rises to more than 39c per minute when customers are connected to the number they requested.
The reports said ComReg was planning to force directory enquiry companies to alert customers to these charges when they are on the phone.
