Today FM owner reports 10% revenues hike
Scottish Radio Holdings, which owns FM 104 and Today FM, said its group operating profit for the six months to the end of March was up 14% to £10.9m (€16m).
Group turnover was up 14% to £47.2m (€69.9m), while like for like revenues rose by 10%.
During the six month period, SRH completed the acquisition of Dublin's FM 104. The company said that including acquisitions, radio broadcast revenues were up 19% ahead of the same period last year.
The company also owns several provincial newspapers in ireland. These are the Kilkenny People,
Nationalist & Munster Advertiser, Tipperary Star, Leitrim Observer and Longford Leader. The company owns 15 newspapers in Northern Ireland, nine in Scotland and has large radio interests, mainly in Scotland.
SRH also announced that its Chief Executive Richard Findlay is to retire in September and will be succeeded by managing director of radio David Goode.
