EU to give employees the right to know

From next year, employees will have a right to know what's going on behind closed doors at work.

A new EU directive will require employers to keep their staff up-to-date with the company's finances and how things might change in the future.

The National Centre for Partnership and Performance says half of all workers in the private sector are rarely briefed on issues that could affect their jobs.
