Iseq closed down while C&C enters market
The Iseq closed down 32.48 to 5,161.77 today, with C&C entering the market as the company floated today.
C&C finished the day at €2.26 - the same price the shares were introduced to the market. Chief executive Maurice Pratt expressed the company's satisfaction with today's float.
Much like the rest of Europe, it was a poor day for the financials on the Iseq, despite a late revival.
Bank of Ireland slipped €0.15 to end the day on €10.00.
AIB, which today announced Lauri McDonnell has been appointed as independent assurer of the investigation into foreign exchange overcharging, slipped 8c to end the day at €12.
Anglo Irish Bank fell €0.12 to €12.4 while Irish Life & Permanent dropped €0.09 to €12.51.
Insurance and financial group FBD Holdings climbed €0.20 to €15.20 today.
Iona Technology climbed more than 22% today to end the day up €0.98 to €5.30.
