Indian stocks fall after election forecast
India’s stock market recorded its biggest fall in four years today after the exit polls forecast the prime minister’s governing coalition would fail to get a majority in Parliament.
The benchmark index of the Bombay Stock Exchange, the Sensex, plunged 229.94 points, or 4.1%, to close at 5,325.90 points.
