Acquisitor's Baltimore stake tops 16%

Rebel shareholder Acquisitor, which has been highly critical of Baltimore Technologies' management team, has taken its stake in the company to more than 16%.

Acquisitor now owns 8,613,736 shares in the technolgy firm, which is to hold its egm next week.

It had previously been highly critical of Baltimore's decision to diversify into what it termed 'non-core' operations.

Baltimore said earlier that it had made a factual error in reporting its shareprice as sliding to 41p (€0.62) from 45p (0.68) after an earlier Acquisitor announcement.

The shareprice in fact rose to 45p (€0.68) from 42.5p (€0.64), Baltimore confirmed.
