European Regulators publish 'Common Position'

The European Regulators Group, which comprises the national regulators of the EU member states, has published a "Common Position" on how they intend to apply remedies to address competition problems in the electronic communications market.

Ireland's telecoms regulator, ComReg, actively participated in the process of agreeing these 'remedies' which include obligations to provide access, non-discrimination, transparency, cost accounting and price control.
