François Barrault appointed as president BT International
BT today announced the appointment of François Barrault as President, BT International, taking responsibility for BT's operations in Europe, Americas and Asia-Pacific.
Francois joins BT on May 1 from Lucent Technologies where he was President of Lucent Mobility International having previously been President and CEO of Lucent Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
Before Lucent, he spent five years with Stratus Computer, which was acquired by Ascend Communications which was subsequently acquired by Lucent.
Francois has also held senior roles at Computervision and IBM and has a background of entrepreneurial experience. He will report to Andy Green, chief executive officer, BT Global Services.
BT also today announced the appointment of Roel Louwhoff as President of customer service for BT Global Services.
Roel Louwhoff joins BT in early June from ClientLogic Corporation, where he holds the position of chief operating officer of international operations.
BT Global Services is BT's business services and solutions division, serving customers worldwide. The division employs 21,000 people and operates in 136 countries.
