British Airways CEO Rod Eddington has called on Russia to abandon charging all airlines for flying in its airspace.

British Airways CEO Rod Eddington has called on Russia to abandon charging all airlines for flying in its airspace.

At the moment airlines pay €250m a year for flying over Russia.

He also said the airline is looking for more slots in Moscow and Yekaterinburg in Western Siberia.

Eddington added that by next month, BA will operate 25 direct flights from the UK to Russia and forecast a double-digit increase in Russian bound passengers.
