10,000 free seats to mark new Ryanair service

Ryanair is offering 10,000 free seats at Nottingham East Midlands airport on its Dublin and Barcelona routes.

The routes - which were recently transferred from Birmingham Airport - start on April 29.

Ryanair will run three daily services to Dublin with daily flights to Barcelona (Girona).

Since launching the routes three weeks ago the low fares airline has taken over 25,000 bookings.

Ryanair's UK Sales Manager, Cathy Timlin said:"Birmingham's loss is East Midland's gain.

"These new routes will carry over 380,000 passengers per annum and deliver over 150,000 tourists to the East Midlands region, representing an important injection to the local economy," Timlin said.

Ryanair expects to carry almost 24 million scheduled passengers this year.
