Portlaoise development plan to be announced

Minister for the Environment, Heritage & Local Government Martin Cullen will announce details of the first phase of a major economic development plan for Portlaoise this week.

The development plan for Portlaoise, based on an economic/promotional strategy for Co Laois by A&L Goodbody Consulting, has been developed consequent to the National Spatial Strategy (NSS) and is the first step in developing Portlaoise's status as a National Transport Node and Inland Port under the NSS.
