Disney Internet Group president predicts massive rise in advertising sales
Steve Wadsworth, president of Disney Internet Group has told a news summit that online advertising is making a big comeback.
Speaking at the Reuters (news agency) Summit he said that blue chip advertisers, from automakers to packaged food companies, have increased online budgets to reach consumers who are spending more time on the internet.
He said that he sees total online advertising sales up more than 20% this year from a year ago.
"We have both (Internet and television) and a business where we can sell them together" Wadsworth told the Reuters Summit.
Overall, the focus of online marketing has changed, with the internet targeting television as a place where market share can be gained.
