The Small Firms Association is calling for insurance premiums to be reduced to reflect the fact that Ireland has the lowest accident rate in Europe.

According to the Association's Assistant Director, 80% of companies experienced increases in employer and public liability insurance premiums last year.

Yet reports from statistical office of the European Communities indicate there have been significant health and safety improvements in recent years.
