Statoil encourages eco-awareness
Statoil is encouraging its customers to resolve to be more environmentally aware this year through a partnership with the Department of Environment, Heritage and Local Government, which is aimed at heightening awareness of climate change.
Information leaflets, produced as part of an ongoing public information campaign on climate change by the Department of Environment, will provide Statoil customers with suggestions regarding actions that they can take to make a positive contribution to climate change.
The leaflets will be displayed in participating Statoil service stations nationwide.
Tony Murray, Managing Director of Statoil Ireland said, "We're glad to be able to put our service station network at the Department's disposal in order to extend the reach of the Department's campaign."
The Norwegian government owns almost 81% of Statoil.
