Oireachtas committee to discuss Aer Lingus Bill
The Oireachtas Transport Committee is due to meet today to discuss the Aer Lingus Bill.
The proposed legislation was part of the survival plan for Aer Lingus negotiated between the company and its workers following the attacks on New York and Washington in September 2001.
Fianna Fáil TD Jim Glennon, a member of the Transport Committee, has denied opposition claims that the bill is the first stage in the eventual privatisation of Aer Lingus.
