November German retail figures drop
Figures from the Federal Statistics Office showed that German retail sales fell by a nominal annual rate of 4.2% in November. In real or price-adjusted terms, sales were down by 4.8%.
On a monthly basis, German retail sales were down by a nominal 1.5% in November from October and fell by 1.8% in price-adjusted terms.
Taking the first 11 months of the year as a whole, German retail sales dropped by 1.1% in nominal terms and were down by 1.2% in real terms from the figure for the corresponding period a year earlier.
