UK Post Office in new services drive
The British Post Office today launched a £10m (€14.3m) campaign to increase revenue by developing new financial services, expanding its banking arm and revamping branches.
The biggest ever drive to win new customers will include a return to television advertising for the first time in two years.
The organisation said it planned to sign up more banks to add to the seven with which it already has agreements.
Chief Executive David Mills said: “Post Office Ltd aims to continue being a relevant part of people’s lives and this advertising gives a clear statement of that intent.
“I want to make Post Office branches places people want to visit, rather than just need to visit.”
The TV adverts will feature a family of ants using the growing range of British Post Office products and the campaign will focus on travel services and banking.
The Post Office is the largest provider of bureau de change foreign currency in the UK, just 10 years after first entering the market.
