Dublin diagnostic firm nominated for export award
Dublin-based diagnostic firm, Biotrin International, has been short-listed for one one of Ireland's most prestigious export awards.
Established in 1992, the company was founded by Dr. Cormac G. Kilty with the specific aim of delivering novel diagnostic technologies for niche healthcare markets.
The company operates in the sector that specialises in providing a range of proprietary tests for hospital laboratories, clinicians and research scientists.
Biotrin now has two distinct business units supported by strong patent positions, infectious diseases and organ damage.
Shannon Minerals, Atlanfish and Libra Designs have also been short-listed for the DHL Exporter of the Year Awards 2003.
The awards are organised in conjunction with the Irish Management Institute, Enterprise Ireland, Irish Exporters Association, Small Firms Association and the Chambers of Commerce of Ireland.
Logistics experts DHL employ 1,030 staff in 25 locations around Ireland.
