Irish Lloyds buyer not yet disclosed
An unnamed Irish investor has purchased the landmark Lloyds building in London for £240m (€336m).
Designed by the Richard Rogers partnership, the 95-metre building was built between 1979 and 1984. At the heart of the building is a huge atrium, 14 floors and 76m tall.
The building was sold by Deka, which bought it from insurance group Lloyd's on a 30-year sale-and-lease-back for £180m (€255.85m) in 1996.
According to the Sunday Times, the name of the investor has not even been leaked to property and banking sources, which often know the details of large property deals even before completion.
