Cork software firm in US merger
Cork-based software firm Comnitel Technologies has merged with the US firm WatchMark.
Comnitel, which develops products for telecoms firms said yesterday it is set to merge with WatchMark, a private US-based software company.
The new company will be called WatchMark-Comnitel and will have its headquarters in the US and its European HQ in Cork.
The value of the deal was not disclosed.
Comnitel employs around 75 staff and said that fewer than 10 workers would lose their jobs as a result of the merger.
