Bank of Ireland Group has announced that Richie Boucher is to be appointed chief executive officer (designate) of corporate banking.

Bank of Ireland Group has announced that Richie Boucher is to be appointed chief executive officer (designate) of corporate banking.

The appointment, which will take effect early next year, is being made in advance of the retirement of the current CEO, Jim Ruane, on March 31 2004.

Mr Boucher (45) is the regional managing director of corporate banking in London and South East England at the Royal Bank of Scotland.

Previously, he was the head of corporate and business banking with Ulster Bank Group.
